Fresh off the rumour mill, there is speculation that Mr and Mrs Smith actress Angelina Jolie has been fired from her position as the face of St John, a clothing company. Angie has been the face of St John since 2005.
It’s crazy to think that someone as famous as Jolie could get canned. Nevertheless, one source
says it was her image that caused the clothier to dump her. “Putting celebrities in campaigns is the biggest trend right now, everyone is doing it, but it didn’t work for St John with Angelina. The people that wear St John just didn’t relate to her.”
Those “people who wear St John” include US Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton and White House staffer Condoleeza Rice.
However, the reps for the fashion label say that no decision has been reached yet.
Meanwhile, Jolie has trouble on another front as well. It has been reported that parents collecting their children from the same New York school as her son Maddox have been asked to respect Jolie and Brad Pitt’s the privacy.
The school has had to issue letters to parents to try to prevent a media frenzy.
According to the New York Observer, the letter said, “Regretfully, I have seen some parents taking pictures, asking for autographs, talking to the media and even shouting at Ms Jolie and Mr Pitt for recognition... I must ask for everyone to please respect the family’s privacy and discontinue these practices.”

George Clooney is so in love with the movie industry he is happy to work for free. The 46-year-old actor is determined not to let money get in the way of the projects he chooses to take on, so he is content to take a cut of the profit.
He says, “Working in films is what excites me. I make movies now for no money. I just take a share of the profits — if any. The important thing is to be proud of the movie. I don’t want to get to my 80s and be a rich actor who regrets the sort of movies I’ve made.”
Meanwhile, sources say, Clooney’s love for girlfriend Sarah Larson has intensified after he had a bike crash with her.
An insider said, “He normally keeps his private life private, but since the crash he has been showing off his girlfriend to the world and they are clearly very much in love.”

Pagesix.com reports that Wendy Faracino, a makeup artist, was on her break and was looking at shoes when Zellweger walked up beside her and the two began talking about shoes.
About 15 minutes after Faracino went back to work, the shoe shop’s manager approached her with a gift-wrapped box.

Cult filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is set to stun fans with his next project - an erotic movie. The Kill Bill director is a big fan of 1970's European soft-core sex films and admits he can't wait to make a modern day version.
He says, "If I actually do an erotic movie, I'm going to have to reveal what I find sexy, what turns me on. And when it comes to sex in movies, it's got to be kind of kinky, because that's what's cinematic, that's what's fun. Everything else is just - shagging."
However, he had doubts over the enterprise - and it's not filming the explicit scenes that bother him, it's the thought of promoting the movie that fills him with worry.
He adds, "My problem won't be revealing myself. My problem would be doing a press tour talking about me revealing myself. And how creepy that would be, how creepy the questions would be."

NO wedding is complete without a good old-fashioned bust-up.
And Kate Moss and Sienna Miller kept the tradition alive at a mutual pal’s reception with a foul-mouthed catfight — over Rhys Ifans.
Kate has been pals with Rhys for years and has been angry with Sienna since she pulled him — because he’s stopped getting hammered with the model.

It will take more than a motorbike smash to dent George Clooney’s spirits.
The actor, out with girlfriend Sarah Larson for dinner in New York, was adamant it won’t stop them riding the bike.
Despite his obvious injuries including a huge wound under his neck and a bandaged arm, George told cameras, “It’s fine.”
The smash happened in New Jersey over a week ago and left George with a broken rib and Sarah with a broken foot.
But when asked if he intended to ride again, George said without a pause, “We always take the bike out. We are not quitters!”

Charlie Sheen likes underage girls: Ex-wife
CHARLIE Sheen has hit back at ex-wife Denise Richards’s accusations that he views child porn on the internet.
The star has also made the shocking admission that the FBI confiscated his computers in order to investigate the claim.
In her most recent court filing in a bitter custody battle, Richards accuses Sheen of “an attraction to underage women”.
But a furious Sheen has slammed these claims. He said, “The FBI was aware of these issues. I provided them with every computer I owned.
“The computers were returned two weeks later. Haven’t heard from them since. Period. The end.”
Sheen claims Richards filed “not a single complaint” about the welfare of the pair’s daughters — Sam (3) and Lola (2) — until he asked to pick his own nannies.
Kiefer Sutherland arrested for DUI
While he’s able to elude the most deadly of enemies on the hit show 24, Kiefer Sutherland was less than cunning when it came to a brush-up with the LAPD.
According to preliminary police reports, Sutherland was arrested in West Hollywood early yesterday for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI).
The actor is said to have “been stopped at 1.35 am and was booked on misdemeanor DUI charges at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood station shortly after 4 am (local time).”
According to a police spokesman, Sutherland failed a field sobriety test before being taken into custody. Kiefer was released on $25,000 (Rs 9.87 lakh) bail.

SIR Elton John became hooked on cocaine because it gave him the confidence to be a rock star. The singer revealed the extent of his drug abuse for TV show Elton John: Me Myself and I, on Saturday.
The star claimed he was too shy to handle his fame until he was introduced to the drug in the 1970s. “It gave me the confidence to join the game. But I wasn’t the kind of person who would do one or two lines. I did a gram and then call out for more.”
But besides almost killing him, he confesses it turned him into a demanding diva, adding, “I was once staying in a hotel in London and it was really windy outside. I rang up the office and asked if there was anything they could do about it. That’s how bad it got.”

Troubled rocker Pete Doherty has reunited with his estranged father after kicking his addiction to drugs. The pair hasn’t spoken for three years because of the Babyshambles frontman’s heroin and crack cocaine habits.
But Doherty claims he has reconciled with his army major dad Peter after a successful stint at the Clouds rehab clinic in England.
The singer says he was spurred on by the desire to repair his relationship with his dad and to set an example to his son Astile (4).
Doherty says, “I’m not craving drugs any more. I have passed through the barrier. I want to be a father to my son and a son to my father.”

Britney is Doomed
Britney Spears‘ luck may have just gotten worse: She has been charged with hit-and-run causing property damage and driving without a valid California license. The charges stem for a fender-bender in a parking lot back in August when Brit hit a parked car. The owner of the car filed a police report, but Brit nor her camp had the decency of getting back to the person. Well, now Britney darling is paying. She was seen storming out of her lawyer’s office in tears… a sight we’re all too familiar with! If charged jail could be Britney’s new home for 6 months. Her arraignment is set for October 10.

Oscar-winning actor George Clooney and Fantastic Four star Jessica Alba have topped a poll conducted by Yahoo! in the US to find the stars whom single people would most like to date.
Contactmusic.com reports that women picked Clooney as their dream choice and men wanted Alba.
While actor Matthew McConaughey, rapper Kanye West and pop star Ricky Martin made it to the male list, former Friends star Jennifer Aniston, singer Queen Latifah and Jessica Simpson featured on the female list.

Jennifer Lopez has been chewing down on buckets of fried chicken to please husband Marc Anthony, who claims, “I can’t eat anything else after a concert.”
In fact, KFC president Gregg Dedrick publicly extended them an unusual invitation.
Gregg wrote a letter to the twosome after hearing about Marc’s love, “We would like to offer you, your entourage and a few VIP guests an ‘all access’ pass to the KFC location of your choice.”
The twosome haven’t said whether or not they’ll take up the offer.

Apparently, the fire services were called to her home. But she wasn’t the one doing the dialling.
It so happens that the flames she’d started in her fireplace caused her neighbours to get on the blower to the emergency services.

Actress Demi Moore, who married Ashton Kutcher in 2005, has now officially adopted her husband’s surname.
She has changed her name on her driving licence and credit cards.
Contactmusic.com quoted a source as saying, “Demi did this for Ashton. She knew that this was something he wanted, so she finally made the switch.”
Now, Demi will be Mrs Kutcher on her black American Express card, her passport and other official documents.
However, the actress will keep her name from her first marriage to Freddie Moore for all her professional endeavours.

The stunning actress is far from being a diva. She claims she has got both feet planted firmly on the ground.
In a Daily Mirror interview at the Toronto International Film Festival, Keira revealed that she suffers the same issues as the rest of us ordinary folk.

The duo are apparently in talks to arrange a dazzling comeback performance for

Justin Timberlake only had good things to say about former girlfriend Britney Spears despite her making headlines for out-of-the-ordinary behaviour.

According to Eric James, a descendant of Jesse James, Brad is a distant cousin of the infamous outlaw group Dalton Gang.
A Dalton apparently married an Ogle who married a Pitt.
Inside Edition informed Brad of his “criminal” past at Wednesday night’s New York City premiere, and a stunned Brad responded, “I did not know that. I’ll have to look that up.”

“We were doing this comedy Mr And Mrs Smith love scene, and were slamming into walls and breaking things and tumbling over couches and stuff,” she continued.

Who says there’s no life after Friends? Certainly not for Jennifer Aniston. Her latest project, He’s Just Not That Into You, has her looking amazing and thinking positively.

Cameron wants to prove she can act
After she finishes shooting the fluff comedy What Happens In Vegas, Cameron Diaz is said to be turning her attention to a role that offers her the chance to prove her true acting skills.
According to The Sun, the actress is set to take on a “hard-hitting role as a woman whose life is ruined by botched cosmetic surgery”.
And Cameron hopes that this opportunity will bring her the same credibility and Oscar glory bestowed upon Charlize Theron for her portrayal of Daytona Beach prostitute-turned-serial killer, Aileen Wuornos, in the film Monster.
“Cameron wants a serious role that isn’t about her looking cute and this role is just that, and much more,” an insider said.
“The character has terrible facial disfigurement, which will require Cameron to sit through hours of make-up. “It’s a really hard role and it’s going to be a big challenge for Cameron,” added the insider.

She was recently voted the sexiest woman in Hollywood, but staying fit has been a struggle for actress Scarlett Johansson.
While filming The Other Boleyn Girl early this year, Scarlett’s fondness of sweets and her love of British pubs caused her to “pile on so many pounds that a number of scenes had to be re-shot”, reveals an insider adding that, “the problem was that Scarlett piled on weight during filming.
“There was concern that she looked thin in some scenes and heavier in others.” The insider added, “Scarlett looks sensational, but the problem is that her weight has gone up and down because she likes her food.

Naomi Campbell has really overdone it this time. The supermodel is bringing her scary side to the big screen, in new flick Perfect Woman.
Naomi will star alongside David Prowse, aka Darth Vader, in the movie, who revealed, “We made a rough and ready version of the film and the money men reckon it’s worth doing properly.
“Naomi will appear in the opening sequence.” Sadly however, her cameo is short-lived. In true horror flick, style she’s set to kick the bucket within the first five minutes.
Fellow model Caprice is also set to appear in the film, which is based around a sick gardener disposing
the bodies of murdered women. Maybe, there’s just not enough back-stabbing in the fashion world to satisfy them anymore
Lindsay Lohan’s horsing around in rehab
Lindsay Lohan has found some new hobbies in rehab. She’s turned to greenery. Li-Lo, who is currently at a rehab centre in Utah, told dad Michael about her new hobbies during their recent reconciliation.
The estranged father and daughter apparently made peace after Michael visited Lindsay at the centre.
He revealed, “Lindsay laughed with excitement as she told me how she spends her days. She spends hours writing songs about what she has been through.
“And she helps look after the horses. Every day, she helps muck them out, feed them and ride them.
“She has taken up gardening and loved showing me the roses she helps look after.”

After spending much of her career playing a lifeguard, it’s no wonder Pamela Anderson is excited about her upcoming magic trick.
According to the latest reports, the former Baywatch babe is set to emulate legendary magician Harry Houdini in a “dangerous new underwater stunt” as part of Dutch illusionist Hans Klok’s Las Vegas show.
Pamela has been filling in as Klok’s assistant at Planet Hollywood since the beginning of this summer and is ready for the more difficult assignment.
Klok said, “We’re working on an underwater escape. We’re a little bit inspired by Houdini…
“People love to see dangerous illusions.”
Pamela says, “I’m totally up for that, I love it. I did it on Baywatch.”

Scarlett goes hand-in-hand with new beau
Lovebirds Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson move up the public display of affection ladder, walking hand-in-hand as they arrive at the Los Angeles International Airport on Monday after a flight from Vancouver.
Things must be really heating up for Ryan (30) and Scarlett (22) as they were visiting Ryan’s hometown of Vancouver.
Scarlett probably took the trip out to Canada to meet Ryan’s parents!
In April, the couple was spotted “canoodling” while dining at Manhattan restaurant.
In May, the pair was spotted kissing and holding hands at a concert in West
Hollywood.
Back in February, Ryan called off his engagement to singer Alanis Morissette.
Halle is in mommy mode
Now that she has finally announced her pregnancy, Halle Berry has got into mommy mode. She was recently spotted shopping for baby clothes with her mother, Judith Ann.
Dressed in a short white dress, the three-months-pregnant former Bond babe and her mom laughed and talked as they hit up at a baby boutique in West Hollywood.
Meanwhile, it was recently announced that soul singer Aretha Franklin has
Halle in mind to portray her in an upcoming biopic From These Roots.
“I have an interest in Halle Berry possibly doing it,” said Aretha. But with a baby on board, it’s questionable whether or not Halle would be willing to take on a new role.

Reese: ‘I can be fun!’
She’s young, beautiful and wealthy, but can’t seem to
cut it when it comes to relationships.
And while the media has attributed her relationship woes to her “control freak” ways, Reese Witherspoon says that these claims are just not true.
The Legally Blonde babe recently defended herself to Elle magazine, saying, “I wouldn’t be able to do what
I do if I were (always in control).
“I wouldn’t be able to have the empathy or the capacity to understand different lives.”
Continuing on, Reese told, “I’m fun. I can be really fun.
“I can tell we’d have a lot of fun if the (interviewer’s) tape was off…”
“I think it’s great to drink in the middle of the day.
“I would join you, but I got to drive to pick up the kids.
“You’re taking taxis everywhere. You could get drunk! You could go from appointment to appointment highly, highly smashed!”

Only a few weeks after reuniting, the Rendition co-stars were clearly on the outs again while promoting their film at the Toronto International Film Festival last week.
A source close to the duo confided to Us Weekly, “They’re a rocky couple. It would not be a shock if they got back together.”
Spears, Federline keep joint custody
Although Britney Spears' former bodyguard said he would testify about "nudity . . . drug use and safety issues involving the children" in the singer's custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Spears and Federline will keep a joint custody agreement, reports TV show "The Insider" via US Weekly magazine.
Mel Goldsman, a colleague of Spears' new lawyer, said Monday's hearing affirmed the joint custody agreement between Spears and Federline.
Spears also faced two other fires to put out Monday, reports the New York Daily News: Her new manager, Jeff Kwatinetz, and her lawyer, Laura Wasser, have quit.
Wasser left defending her client, though, denying the former bodyguard's allegations of Spears' drug use.
"He isn't a credible witness," Wasser said.
